2008 Campaign Report to Donors

Last year, under the joint leadership of the National Guard and the Coast Guard, the 2008 Hawaii-Pacific Area CFC was the most successful ever. Federal employees contributed a record $6.3 million dollars for local, national and international charities.

The Power of Payroll Allotment

Historically,approximately 70% of all donors give through payroll allotment. These donors contribute 90% of the campaign total. In 2008, payroll allotment contributions averaged $247, while cash contributions averaged $57. Payroll allotment is a powerful way to support CFC charities!

Campaign Costs

Campaign costs are reviewed and approved by the LFCC. Costs are shared on a pro-rata basis among all charities that receive designations in the campaign. Hawaii-Pacific Area CFC costs are consistently below the national average. In 2008, local campaign costs were 5.9%.
